ROSY FOR MAYOR

In 1974 I met a few clowns planning a mayoral campaign.

The professional clown troupe was known as "Puck Rent a Fool" one of them, Rosy Sunshine, was running for Mayor of Toronto in the 1974 municipal election. Rosy came in 4th out of 11 candidates with 2294 votes!

In their own words,
" Mark Parr, Frazier Mohawk and Lynne Cavanagh together with Vicki Gabereau were Puck Rent-A-Fool, a zany troupe of clowns who performed around Toronto from 1974-1977. Their show of traditional and original clown gags spawned the first Puck's Circus performance at the 1975 Canadian National Exhibition."
